Greiner Bio-One expands its product portfolio for capillary blood collection

With MiniCollect® PIXIE, Greiner Bio-One is expanding its portfolio with a new safety lancet specially designed for heel incision.

MiniCollect® PIXIE is a safety lancet designed to ensure the necessary blood flow for your pediatric testing needs. MiniCollect® PIXIE penetrates the skin with a pendulum swing motion to cut through capillary beds with the appropriate incision depth. This product is therefore ideal for micro-preemie, preemie and newborn babies.

Safety feature
The safety mechanism ensures that the blade retracts automatically after incision and is securely enclosed in the plastic housing. This safety feature is designed for ease of use as well as patient comfort, allowing blood collection to take place without unnecessary anxiety for all involved. This is particularly advantageous for small patients where successful capillary collection is most important.
