The Vacuum System: Simple application and reliable results
The main advantage of a user-friendly evacuated specimen collection system is that a clearly defined quantity of blood sample material can be collected without further handling requirements. VACUETTE® tubes can be changed quickly and hygienically during blood collection, without any risk of coming into contact with specimen material.
Most tubes contain chemical additives, which in combination with the pre-determined vacuum guarantee the correct mixing ratio for the blood sample. The cap colours of the tubes are based on the internationally recommended colour code so that different tube types can be recognised at first glance.
A gentle way to collect small blood samples
MiniCollect® offers a gentle way to collect small blood samples for a wide range of analyses. The system is perfectly suited for young children, geriatric patients as well as patients with fragile veins.
MiniCollect® is also recommended in situations where venous blood collection proves particularly difficult. For delicate vein conditions, patients who have to take blood samples very often or people with severe burns, capillary blood collection with the MiniCollect® system offers a great alternative to venous blood collection.
The MiniCollect® tube includes an integrated scoop, allowing droplets of blood to be collected easily and hygienically. The additional use of a capillary or funnel is not necessary anymore.
VACUETTE® EVOPROTECT Safety Blood Collection Set
EVOPROTECT is the next stage in blood collection. The semi-automatic click mechanism protects the user from the risk of needlestick injuries and makes the daily task of blood collection easier. VACUETTE® EVOPROTECT provides for gentle collection and safety from injury because we believe that every needlestick is one too many.
The safety blood collection set meets current safety recommendations and requirements and provides substantial support for safe blood collection and infusion with the same set. VACUETTE® EVOPROTECT is ergonomically designed and intuitive to use. It has a winged needle, specially developed for one-handed use. The potential needlestick injuries are minimised by the activation of the safety mechanism while the needle is still in the vein.
