Greiner Bio-One strengthens global management team: Axel Schwaiger appointed Vice President Global Supply Chain

Kremsmünster, November 2025 – Greiner Bio-One is delighted to welcome Axel Schwaiger as its new Vice President Global Supply Chain to the global management team. With over 20 years of international experience in supply chain management, he brings extensive expertise in the design and optimization of global supply chains.

Axel Schwaiger is 53 years old and was born in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. He earned his academic degree with a focus on product development, supply chain, and logistics in the field of industrial engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Supply Chain Management Transformation at Fresenius Kabi. Prior to that, he was Director of Global Supply Chain Management, responsible for Fresenius Kabi's medtech business, and worked as a demand and intermarket planner at Nestlé, among other positions.

In his new role at Greiner Bio-One, Axel Schwaiger will be responsible for introducing and managing central processes and systems in the areas of purchasing, procurement, and logistics. As a manager in the global matrix organization, he will work closely with sales, production, and the business units to ensure worldwide product availability.

With his strategic mindset and deep understanding of complex supply chain structures, Axel Schwaiger will make a decisive contribution to further strengthening Greiner Bio-One's global supply chains.
