VACUETTE® Safety Product Line Presentation at Greiner Bio-One Booth
There are more than 20 different transmittable bloodborne pathogens, including Hepatitis C, Hepatitis B and HIV. Every day, millions of people working in healthcare professions are exposed to the risk of infection with one of these illnesses.Both national and EU-wide regulations, for example the TRBA 250 valid in Germany, are accelerating the trend for innovative safety solutions.
As technology leader, Greiner Bio-One recognised this development some time ago, and has, over the years, systematically developed a range of new Safety Products. The VACUETTE® PREMIUM Safety Needle System is one of these solutions, which we will -together with other products - be presenting to visitors at this year’s MEDICA on Wednesday, 17th November and Thursday 18th November on our exhibition booth in hall 3, stand B70. The VACUETTE® PREMIUM Safety Needle System will be launched on the market in 2011. This is truly an “intelligent product”, with a unique function, which provides the user with maximum infection protection due to automatic activation of the safety mechanism on venipuncture, without the need for any additional handling.
The entire product line is made up from various safety products suitable for a range of application areas. The VACUETTE® QUICKSHIELD Safety Tube Holder is, for example, suitable for daily routine blood collection. The Safety Blood Collection Sets have been especially designed for collection from difficult veins. The product provides a high level of safety as the safety mechanism is activated whilst the needle is still in the vein of the patient.
