The advantages of the new tube:
Homocysteine Detection Tube
Greiner Bio-One has launched a new VACUETTE® Evacuated Blood Collection Tube for determination of the homocysteine concentration. With this tube it is possible to stabilise the sample for at least 6 hours at room temperature (and up to 72 hours when refrigerated).Centrifugation immediately after blood collection and cooled transportation are therefore not essential. This is particularly advantageous for medical practitioners, as well as being very practical for the clinical sector, as the easy handling saves on time and costs. The comparably long sample stability helps reduce preanalytical errors.

- Stable homocysteine value in whole blood for at least 6 hours at room temperature
- Centrifugation immediately after blood collection is not necessary*
- Transport without centrifugation is possible**
